The story behind the name

A silk thread runs through Lucca.

Before becoming residences and a private garden, I Gelsi was a place with a story. Its name recalls Lucca’s centuries-old silk tradition and a historic site whose origins are traced to the fourteenth century.

Between craftsmanship, architecture and contemporary life, we chose to preserve this connection and share it with everyone who visits Lucca.
